Schizophrenia is a very serious mental disorder, that antipsychotics was
effective therapy to treat it. The 2013 and 2018 Basic Health Research results
showed an increase in the prevalence of people with mental disorders by 5.3%.
Based on this, it is necessary to conduct research on the evaluation of the use of
antipsychotic drugs in schizophrenic patients at Panti Wilasa Hospital Dr. Cipto
Semarang.
This was a non experimental descriptive evaluative research, with
retrospective data retrieval. The sampling technique used was a purposive
sampling system, by taking all the medical records of schizophrenic patients at
the outpatient polyclinic of Dr. Cipto Hospital Semarang for the period January -
December 2020.
Based on the results of the study, data on the use of a single antipsychotic
that was most widely used was clozapine as many as 21 prescriptions (24,71%).
The most widely prescribed combination of two antipsychotics was the
chlorprpmazine-haloperidol combination of 19 prescriptions (22,36%). The results
of the evaluation of the use of antipsychotics obtained the following results: the
right drug was 52 patients (61,18%), the right patient was 85 patients (100%), the
right indication was 85 patients (100%), the correct dose was 70 patients
(82,35%).
