Genjer or Yellow Burrhead (Limnocharis Flava (L) Buchenau) is
traditionally used to cure a variety of diseases and have a high level of
flavonoid. Hyperuricemia is metabolism disorder that is characterized by
excess of uric acid in the blood. This research propose to know the effect of
giving Genjer (Limnocharis Flava (L) Buchenau) Ethanol Extract into uric acid
level of male mice.
This research is experimental research. Extract making use Maerasi
Method. The research use 25 mice which divided into 5 groups. First Group
as negative control that’s added aquades while II, III and IV group are added
genjer ethanol extract as many as 100 mg/kgBB, 200 mg/kgBB, 400
mg/kgBB; and 5th group as positive control that’s added by 13 mg/kgBB of
allopurinol suspension The measurement of uric acid useEssy Toche. Data
analysis is done by One Way Anova to compare the mice responses to the
treatments.
The result of research show that giving genjer ethanol extract for 400
mg/kgBB dose can decrease the level of uric acid in mice’s blood which
