HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DALAM SWAMEDIKASI PENYAKIT DIARE PADA ANAK DI KECAMATAN BAE KABUPATEN KUDUS



In Indonesia, diarrhea is the second killer of children under five after ARI
and 10,000 children under five die from diarrhea every year. The proportion of
diarrhea cases in Central Java in 2014 was 79.8%. The main options for seeking
healing from an illness, among others, are to seek treatment at a health service
center or self-medicate. To increase knowledge about diarrhea, it is necessary to
provide health education. The purpose of this study was to determine the
relationship between education level and knowledge level of self-medication of
diarrhea in children as parents in Bae District, Kudus Regency.
This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach.
The population in this study were all communities in Bae District, Kudus Regency.
The design of this study is a quantitative analysis with a porposive sampling
technique, the instrument used is a questionnaire. Conducted on a sample of 400
respondents in the community in the district of Bae.
The results of this study there is a significant relationship between
education level and parental knowledge in self-medication of diarrheal disease in
children with a correlation coefficient value of 0.928 so that it is included in the very
strong category and the results are significant.
