FORMULASI DAN UJI STABILITAS GEL PATI SINGKONG (Amylummanihot) DENGAN KOMBINASI GELLING AGENT METIL SELULOSA DAN CMC NA SEBAGAI MOISTURIZER



Moisturizing cosmetics (moisturizers) include cosmetic care that
aims to maintain the structure and function of the skin from various
influences such as dry air, hot sunshine, old age, various skin diseases
and diseases in the body that accelerate the evaporation of water so
that the skin becomes drier. This research will make a moisturizer
preparation using natural ingredients. The natural ingredients used are
cassava starch (Amylummanihot). Cassava starch (Amylummanihot)
contains protein, carbohydrates, fiber, minerals, vitamin C and vitamin
A which can help cool and brighten facial skin.
This research is experimental. The extract of cassava starch is
carried out by precipitating it with aquadest solvent. By using a
variation of the gelling agent Methylcellulose with a concentration of
5%, 5%, 4%, 3%, and 2% while CMC Na with a concentration of 3%,
3%, 4%, 5%, 6%. And data analysis using One-Way ANOVA (Analysis
of Varians).
The results of the physical test showed that the formulas of
cassava starch moisturizer gel formulas 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 were in the
form of solid sempi with a thick consistency, distinctive odor, colorless
and cold taste on the skin and then rubbed on. The results of the
spreadability test showed a range of 8.90 - 25.70 cm2, the adhesion
test was in the range of 38.20 - 47, 44 seconds, and the pH of the
preparation showed a range of 5.70 - 6.65. For statistical analysis
using the ANOVA test of spreadability, adhesion, and pH, the results
obtained were p 0.00
