The use of antibiotiks in cesarean surgery patients needs to be
examined to reduce the risk of surgical infections. Prescribed antibiotiks
should be chosen wisely, with the right dosage, method of administration and
duration of administration according to the patient's needs, and minimal side
effects. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the use
of antibiotiks in cesarean patients and evaluate the use of antibiotiks for
cesarean patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Temanggung.
This research is a descriptive study with retospective data. The study
subjects were all cesarean surgical patients who received prophylactic
antibiotiks in 2019. Data were obtained from medical records and other
medical records retrospectively at PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung
Hospital. The data used in this study sample were 200 patients.
Evaluation of the use of prophylactic antibiotiks in cesarean patients in
this study was analyzed by looking at the suitability of drug use based on
Hospital Formularies and ASHP Therapeutic Guidelines resulting in the use of
prophylactic antibiotiks in sectio caesarea patients at PKU Muhammadiyah
Hospital in Temanggung in 2019 100% according to the list of Hospital
Formularies and the use of prophylactic antibiotiks in cesarean section
patients in accordance with the recommendations of the ASHP Therapeutic
Guidelines namely the use of cefazolin antibiotiks produced 9 patients (4.5%).
