Antibiotics are drugs that are needed to treat bacterial infections.
Antibiotics are a group of hard drugs that are obtained with a doctor's prescription
and obtained at pharmacies. Inappropriate use of antibiotics will cause resistance
problems that have an impact on morbidity and mortality of infectious diseases.
This study aims to determine the level of patient knowledge of the use of
antibiotics at the Saras Sehat Pharmacy, Semarang City.
The design of this study is a quantitative research with data collection
using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The sampling technique of this
research used purposive sampling technique and this research was conducted
from February to March 2021 with a total sample of 200 respondents.
The results showed that the patient's level of knowledge on the use of
antibiotics was included in the good category (80.9%) with sub-variables
indication (89.0%), how to use (88.0%), drinking rules (87.0%), interaction
(82.5%), side effects (80.5%), dose (74.8%), and method of obtaining (70.5%).
