Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease that can attack the lungs.
Compliance is an attitude that will appear in someone in the form of a reaction to
something that is in the regulations that must be carried out and is influenced by
one of the factors that influence treatment, namely the level of knowledge. The
purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of
knowledge and adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) at Permana
Purwodadi Pharmacy.
This research uses Analytical Observational method with cross sectional
design. This research design is used to examine an event at the same time or at
one time. The sampling technique of this study used the Total Sampling
technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis
used is univariate and bivariate analysis.
From the univariate analysis, it was found that 77.2% of respondents had
a good level of knowledge, and 54.4% of respondents had high adherence to
taking TB drugs. In bivariate analysis with Chi Square statistical test < 0.05, it
was found that there was a significant relationship between the level of
knowledge and adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) in TB patients
at Permana Purwodadi Pharmacy (p value = 0.024).
